Suggestion on rug color

We are refurnishing our home and need suggestions for a rug color that would go with a green couch and light floors.
I am attaching the picture of the room and how it looks now (we are replacing the black coffee table with bigger walnut wood one)
Would appreciate any suggestions here.
The current light rug seems like a mistake as I have pets and kids and I always find myself spot-cleaning it. 😅
