Some quick landscape suggestions using ai.

I personally love your old style home though. You don't see houses like.uours anymore in central Texas. It feels so homey.

What a nice home.

I suggest you remove those high-maintenance evergreen shrubs and replace with a few more casual, rounded, and maybe flowering shrubs and/or perennials. Emphasis on FEW, not a shoulder to shoulder soldier line like you have now.

Some option to go with

Nice house!!! Do you have the budget to bust up concrete and redo the sidewalks?

Eventually that's the plan, but just looking for replacing the boxwoods for now.

Thank you all for the helpful ideas!!

Late to the thread but I offer minor changes. I'd remove the shrubs next to the entrance. Low perennials would be nicer there. I'd also remove the corner plant that does not seem to be doing well. Lower the two hedges indicated. They are beginning to dwarf the house. I'd do nothing to the taller hedge on the left side. Can people grow acid loving plants where you are?

Thank you, Emmarene9! I like those suggestions! We have to do soil amendments for acide loving plants here.

I asked because some very pretty, blooming shade plants happen to need acid soil.

I love that, simplynatural! Thank you for the mock up!
