Great pics and beautiful gardens everyone. My little balcony garden is living its best life. I usually grow everything I want without regard to color combinations. I just try not to have clashing colors if I can. Here are the railing planters this year.

I don’t have a lot of blooming color right now, but I do have some foliage color : )

@Jameszone7a Philadelphia The bottom plant is Nepeta x faassenii ‘Select Blue’ (Catmint). Planted this a few years ago. Very large, very hardy. Tends to melt out in the middle but by July, a million new sets of leaves shoot up in the center and I cut off the older flowering stems. Bees love this.

The very light pink is Salvia pratensis ‘Eveline’ which I planted at least 15 years ago.

The other two are also salvias and are uninteded crosses between Salvia pratensis ‘Eveline’ and Salvia sylvestris ‘May Night’. Both very, very pretty and they seem to seed true. The purple is much lighter than May Night and the flower form is smaller like the pratensis. The other one has larger flowers like the sylvestris and it is not two-toned like Eveline.

One of the great things about nature - it is often out of our control.

@beesandblues88_z7a Thanks for the info! I am trying Echinacea 'Kismet Intense Orange' this year and hoping it overwinters. I finally gave up on Tiki Torch.
