It was pleasant to be out in the garden this morning. The temperatures weren't too high and it was overcast. I took a lot of photos of named varieties today.

Candy Bandit

Candy Queen--small flower

Candy-coated Confection blooming for the first time this season.

Come Down O Love Divine blooming on tall scapes this year.

Evermore Greatful's flowers are large but the scapes are short this season.

    See Me-Feel Me-Touch Me

    Shirley Koch

    Something in My Teeth

    Venus Fly Trap

I am never able to capture just how luscious the color is on Wide Wide World.

I'll put a couple seedlings in the next comment.

I think this seedling is pretty. It is Bodacious Bite X (My Friend Mary Jane X Crimson Stories)

Here is a sibling to the first one.

We thought this yellow one was nice. It is Sunshine on My Shoulders X So Beautiful to Me.

This is Pineapple Bites X Wandering Werribee.

    That's all for today.

They yellows, Rosie Cottons Ribbons, and Venus Fly Trap appeal to me and I'm with bob on Heavenly Great Pumpkin. I like the first one on Bodacious Bite X (My Friend Mary Jane X Crimson Stories) and the nice clump of Pineapple Bites X Wandering Werribee.

It looks as though Something in My Teeth is well established and performing well for you. Candy Coated Perfection and Pineapple Bites also caught my eye. How well has Sunshine on My Shoulders proven as a parent. It was highly touted, but I don't hear much about it anymore.

I had to look up Something In My Teeth. I see it's a Bremer. He's hard to order from since he only mail orders now in July. Not a time in Oklahoma for bare root plants to try and make it............See me Feel Me Touch Me looks good. I like the edge and throat against the pale base color....... I grew New Tangerine Twist and it was a pretty one. Unfortunately it didn't make it through its first winter here.......Not much on eyed daylilies, but Candy Coated Confection is a pretty one .........A nice batch of daylilies............Maryl

Mantis, Something in My Teeth has not been a good grower for us. It has lovely flowers, but the plant doesn't seem very vigorous. It has been here for several years (maybe 5 or so) but hasn't increased much. I will admit that it has not been in very good locations. It's also naturally not very tall.

We really haven't used Sunshine on My Shoulders very much. Richard said it would cross well with red and we did get some nice reds out of it. Whether they are worthy to be registered is another story. Bob has played around with super tall ones from Notify Ground Crew. We did cross Sunshine with some of those seedlings and got some nice tall yellows with more ruffles than the usual bunch like Sears Tower, etc. Sunshine is also in a bad location. (That's whatt happens when you run out of room.)

Come Down O Love Divine looks like a great yellow. I can see the Butter Cream heritage in it. Heavenly The Great Pumpkin looks fantastic. I must be channelling Bob's love for orange because my other favorites are Pineapple Bites and Something in my Teeth. Nice group shot of Rosie Cotton's Ribbons! The yellow seedling is my favorite of the kids today.
