July 8th Blooms (Tets)

Another warm one today, so I got out early and most everything was open by 8:30 am

SUSGUEHANNA GREAT BALLS OF FIRE: The picture is accurate. I could not believe the color of the eye, It jumped out at me.

Here is another picture of it shaded.

MEGATRON: Huge flower. Thirteen inches.

SCOTT FOX: I like the fine white/silver edge

SHERRY LANE CARR: A classic that will always have a spot in my garden.

Jamaican Midnight: Relatively sunfast.

Sgbof is indeed eye catching. The name would be a killer to have to write repeatedly though....I'm with Kate on Solar Magic.........Persian Ruby is on my short list....I grew Sherri Lane Carr for many years when I first began my collection. It's not colorfast here, but it did pump out the blooms.............Sugar Cream Pie has caught my attention with that yellow edge. I wonder how Seifert daylily would do in our heat...........A very nice group David.............Maryl

SUGAR CREAM PIE in the afternoon. This is a bloom machine and has 3 to 4 way branching.

That is indeed a huge eye. I often wonder what Kendigs perform well. Sherry Lane Carr may be too vigorous to stay here.

I like Sugar Cream Pie, lovely white with yellow edge, catches my eye. I would like to see Great Balls of Fire on person, almost neon.

Jamaican Midnight looks like velvet. Solar Music is big and beautiful. Megatron is indeed huge.
