Sunday blooms from up north

Every day is a surprise now in the gardens. Finally a day with almost no blemished blooms.

Mantis asked about Coast to Coast yesterday. Here is the second day of blooms with what I typically see.

Soco Gap…I think Maryl liked this one.

Green Eyed Envy with color I usually see…..two huge blooms today.

Starman’s Quest has been blooming for a week. It has tall scapes and lots of buds.

ZuZu’s Treasure is getting started.

Coco’s Curiosity started blooming this week.

Banshee Whisper finally had a clean bloom today, not having a great season.

Mary’s Baby has been blooming gor a week, finally had clean blooms today.

Heavenly Breezes with a perfect bloom today. Good scape height, new to the garden.

Beautiful! Mary's Baby is a great one but I also like Heavenly Breezes and Starman's Quest.

We all know by now how I feel about Mary's Baby. Sometimes mine is that deep velvet purple, sometimes deep velvet maroon, but always beautiful.....I think all of these are gorgeous Sherry. Starman's Quest has interested me in the past, but I got the impression it's not a good performer. Obviously it is for you. I like the color and the pattern......I do like Socco Gap. Nice form...........And what a great shot of ZuZu's Treasure. Lovely lavender/pink color.........I could go on, but let's just say I like them all for one reason or another..................Maryl

I agree! Great blooms on all! Mary’s Baby always looks good. Pretty clump of Coast to Coast and I like Green Eyed With Envy.

Sherry - I thought I had already seen this post, but I hadn't. Lots of pretty ones here. Zuzu's Treasure and Coco's Curiosity look wonderful in your garden. Coco did not perform well here this year, and I haven't been able to get a good photo of it. It looks like it was short on buds for you too. Green Eyed Envy has an interesting pattern, and Saco Gap looks like a nice red. Mary's Baby is such a beautiful purple. I regret it didn't perform well here. I've grown Starman's Quest for many years, and I would rate it a good performer - even in the shade.

Yes Debra, you know the story, short scapes and fewer buds. Coco’s Curiosity did better here the past couple seasons

Sherry - Yes, short scapes and a fewer buds is the theme of my season. Only a few are outliers.

Great looking blooms. My favorite is Green Eyed Envy, pretty eye on it. I also like Heavenly Breezes and whatever's growing to the right of it and Zuzu's Treasure.

Short scapes here too but in most cases I don't mind, they look more uniform together ))
