Hi! We are finally taking down the knotty pine in our family room. We have an issue though - an existing knotty pine built in. In order to keep costs down for the project, I thought we should just eliminate the built in. But the issue is now the flooring. We have hardwoods - and they go the wrong way to add on. We are going to put tile in front of the fireplace, as part of this project. Opinions on putting the same tile under the window where the built in currently is? Any other options? I would love to rebuild the built in with wood, with a bench. But that will be costly
