Yes I think it goes well with the counter tile

IMO first change that light itis horrible and makes choosing color for anything impossible . Then no to any gray hued tile with the counter tile which is warm so a porcelain tile in a light cream color in 12 x24 would be a much better choice .Where are planning the hex tile? Change the light and make sure the bulbs are LED 4000K then choose all other elements

That brown granite will never go with white. Ivory, and darker is the direction to choose. Better still, rip out the brown granite tile, and then you can have a white bathroom.

Thank you everyone 🙏 I’ll return this sample and get creamier color vs grey undertone tile . Not sure what to do with cabinets ? Sanding and staining will cost 1500, which it doesn’t make any sense to me . Ordering front door cabinets is my other options but not sure where to buy it from .

$1500 for a pro is usually when it is bundled with a larger job. That is cheap for a job minimum. Most pro cabinet finishers that I know have a $2500 minimum mobilization charge.

You might as well buy a new vanity as reface that one. And a new top. And mirror and light. There goes all the brown. So now, you can have whatever color of tile appeals to you.

For 100 bucks you can paint the vanity. No tragedy in getting rid of orange and dated oak.

Put the money from a potential refinish, into a new top /sink/faucet. Find a remnant plain solid surface, add hardware. There's nothing wrong with the style of vanity. YOU Are renting? Or you are renting to others?

If you are renting this place out, paint the vanity, keep the countertop. Tile the floor. Paint walls.

Rental? I’d replace the carpet with a porcelain tile in a color pulled from the granite and that doesn’t fight with the existing cabinets. Add pulls to the vanity doors and drawers. Done.

If this is a housing rental and not a vacation rental then what Sofia said and ignore everything else.

"Pulls" means cabinet hardware. Handles or knobs. You still haven't clarified the WHO of the renting. Doesn't matter really, the advice is the same. : ) Floor, paint vanity add hardware, paint walls.

No the advice is not the same. I am a landlord on my own and I work in commercial and multifamily real estate professionally. You need to identify your audience and determine what they can pay. Yes you do need to remove the carpet for health and safety reasons. But you do not want to over renovate for who your target audience is. You are then just wasting money.

The vanity actually looks fairly nice still. If keeping the wood you might consider adding some hardware to make things feel more finished. Are you keeping the top of the vanity? If so, it might be a good idea to choose a creamier/beige color rather than a more white one for the flooring. Below are a few bathrooms we have done for clients. Maybe take a moment to look at the various tiles, paint, hardware, and other decor items used.

What Sofia said. Which is pretty much what you planned, plus adding knobs. I'd look for a slightly more creamy tile to go with the granite than what you've selected. Something closer to the color of the carpet.

You won't be making style waves, but it will be nice.
