I think this is a pretty great vintage bathroom and I would not take anything out if it is in good condition. I would consider wallpaper, maybe something from Thibaut, where you can get matching wallpaper and fabric which would be a very appropriate period look. It's expensive for paper, but cheaper than redoing a bathroom. If not paper, some nice artwork ,

Are you looking to make other changes while keeping the floor or do you just want paint ideas?

We’re considering other changes! New vanity, fixtures, that sort of thing. No major layout changes. The trouble with the vanity will be sizing - the tile was put after the vanity and cut to its size

my suggestion is if you change toilet and tub see how a biscuit color works. Were you leaning more towards natural wood or painted cabinets? I think either would work in the right color or tone.

I would not change the vanity (or tub) if you want to keep the floor. You could put a quartz or marble top on it if you don't like the laminate, but if it's in good shape I'd keep it. It probably suits the style of the house, too. It won't be the white shaker vanity that is pretty much the only thing going right now, but I don't know why everyone's bathroom has to look identical anyway.

But if you change too much, you are going to get to a tipping point where it doesn't make sense to save the floor, you might as well just gut the whole thing.

I feel that floor is fairly neutral and not dated looking. How about some of the spa blues with it? Any other colors you use in your house that could be pulled in? Sage? An off white with colorful accents?

change the lighting - but you may be able to do just the globes without rewiring. Also I second all the ideas by elcieg - I did a bath just like that (moroccan tile but in white) and tiled the countertop with new square sinks! having a white counter would blend with tub and toilet so whatever you can afford. Wish I had photos, it was a long time ago but turned out very pretty.
