Various species are called QAL. Can you specify which one you are asking about?

I expect you are referring to Anthriscus sylvestris 'Ravenswing', as that is the only QAL look-alike I am aware of with maroon/purple coloring. It can self-seed profusely and often appears on noxious weed or invasive species lists as a result. Offspring are often the same purple coloring but can also appears in shades of green or green flushed with purple.

I addition to QAL, this also goes by the common names of cow parsley or wild chervil. It is considered a perennial but rather short lived.

What i bought last year from the annuals table was a pink umbillifer . Im pretty sure

it was labled amni.

what grew this year is a white umbillifer with central dot which in my lexicon is QAL.

To try my question again is this not a different plant than the one i bought ? would Amni seedlings look like amni. ? So where did this QAL come from?

it was not Ravenswing. i know that plant.

Dara is a pink form of either Ammi majus or Daucus carota, depending on which website you read. Whatever the species, both would throw out white blooms since that is the colour of the straight species.

Yep, I have just sent off for Dara (daucus carrota on the site I am using). I have mostly grown perennial umbellifers for pink flowers - Jelitto have been sending out a pink hogweed although mine didn't germinate this year. The white moon carros are currently all over my local cemetery, along with achillea, scabious columbaria and knapweed...a lovely sight.
