Much Less Bloom Now

We had a storm (took out part of a tree here) that gave some much-needed rain, but flowers have been inferior, suffering from heat and dryness, as well as whatever seasonal malaise is affecting things. Most of these pics are not from the last few days. At least there is less work taking pics, as very few blooms qualify. We'll see what is on the desktop.

Vampire Fish

Heartbeat of Heaven --difficult to photograph because of full-sun location and shadows cast by uneven surface.

Martha Edson Norris

Lovestruck Linda has looked good.

Echo Beach

Fiesta Panties is naturally shorter, but a bright flower.

Rhinestone Cowboy

Ideological Worldview has good height but fewer buds this year.

Rogue Primate was divided last year, so one can overlook bud count, which usually is great.

Martha Edson Norris is lovely as is Ideological Worldview. Wyatt Earp is an eye-catcher.

Rhinestone Cowboy caught my eye. I looked it up and you need to add your picture to the database because the one there is uninspiring. Fiesta Panties is another pretty one by Hanson.....That's a gorgeous shot of Alpha and Omega......I'm wondering about your Ruby Grandeur. Has it bloomed for you yet?...............Maryl

Alpha and Omega is definitely eyecatching in your photo. I like Echo Beach and don’t remember seeing it. That is a very nice clump of Ideological Worldview. Martha Edson Norris has that form I like. I hope the storm damage did not impact your gardens.

Fiesta Panties is my favorite flower, but I hate the name. Echo Beach and Alpha and Omega are really pretty. Ideological World View and Dream Sequence have appealing colors.

Beautiful flowers! We added Vampire Fish this year. I am anxious to see it. We didn't get to see Martha Edson Norris as it got smashed under the tree. I also like Fiesta Panties and Alpha and Omega.

The blooms are winding down here too. It seems this season is moving too fast. I like Dream Sequence, nice pattern. I am hesitant to add a patterned daylily here, I keep reading they do better in warmer climates. Thanks for posting….many here I dont remember seeing.

Yes, Ruby Grandeur is still blooming. Very intense red.

My fence got smashed, but a friend quickly sawed up the big limb, and I repaired the fence. Dream Sequence is an easy grower. Vampire Fish did well for a one-year-old plant.

I took your advice, Maryl, and added some Rhinestone photos. It is a very good plant and quite showy.

Great shot of ALPHA AND OMEGA. Love MARTHA EDSON NORRIS. I just love flat blooms.
