Mistake how? The one set of chairs is in shadow so it is a tish difficult to see their color. The WHITE chairs pop out the most to my eye. I wouldn't have them against the white back drop.

Love the sofa but it looks beige and rug seems gray. Get rid of the white pillows and the ones on the gray chairs. The chairs by the window are very white. Get some art for over the sofa and pick a color from it to add accents around the room

I think the sofa is fine. Get a big piece of art and smaller pillows for the sofa.

Love the sofa. In comparison, those white-ish armchairs look small and inexpensive. Wrong color, too.

For sure get rid of any gray in the room.

It just sounds like you don't like the sofa that your husband bought! Are you hoping to get people to say they don't like it, so you can show your husband? ;-)

There is nothing "stand out" about the sofa. The room is pleasant enough, just a bit bland. It tells me nothing unique about the people that live there, like a display in a furniture store titled 50 shades of grey/white!

Haha, my husband also doesn’t like the sofa. I like the minimalist look so electric color is not an option for me. I’m looking for an art for the sofa wall as well to make the room more interesting.

I like low swivel chairs but those disappear in front of the white curtains. Try moving the dark chairs there and the sofa facing the window with a sofa table behind it. The the white chairs each side of the couch to create a better conversation grouping. Everything now looks separated

I also feel you need to play with the pillow placement. If you can’t sit without moving them you probably don’t need them. Maybe the larger light ones from the sofa on your dark chairs patterned moved to the white chairs or stacked on the floor. Colors should be placed around the room so your eyes move around the room not stop like it does with white chais in front of the white curtains on a white wall.

When I look at the room, my first thought is the white chairs looks out of place. Everything else feels good (to me).

If you got a piece of art that bridges the grey and beige/natural tones, I don’t think anyone would think the couch stands out. Right now, without anything to anchor the eye, it goes right to the sofa.

At first the white sofas are facing the window because I didn’t want them to be against white curtains but strangely it did’t look good. I guess the back of the gray chairs look more eye pleasing.

Will you be adding end tables and table lamps or floor lamps? I think a tall plant in the rear left corner would make it feel more lived in.
