I don't think so-the only "Laguna" rose that I know is the Kordes large-flowered climber: https://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.40065 However I see on HMF that there are quite a few roses with this name: none are listed as Bourbons though.

And I know plants are different in different climates but I've never heard Laguna described as strongly fragrant. Mine is mildly fragrant and I live in a climate conducive to scent

Im referring to the Kordes Laguna. I dont have a pic of mine. I know it is classified as a climber, but that refers to how the rose grows and tells me nothing about the rose itself. It seems like the bloom is closer to a bourbon than say a hybrid tea. It is a strong fragrance for me, a medium/deep pink, tons of petals, blooms in small sprays, THORNS! So my question is more like in which class would the bloom of Laguna best fit if the bush itself did not have a climbing habit. Would it be most similar to a bourbon?

If you go on helpmefind you can try to trace back some of the lineage, if you get a paying membership you can get more details as well. I don’t have a membership myself (yet) but just going back a little ways it seems Laguna is mostly a descendent of hybrid teas and Kordesii shrub roses.
