House siding/ updating exterior

Hello all,

We have to update our siding to our split level home. When we first moved in, we updated the landscaping and will eventually do some hardscaping down the line. We want to update this home and make it look more clean/modern/contemporary NOT MODERN FARMHOUSE. I have listed a couple of photos below of what I envision. We plan on painting or limewashing the brick solid white, updating the lighting on the front of the house and back. We wanted to add wood or dark accents to the house so it’s not so stark. We will either change out the garage door or paint. We were thinking of painting the shutters wrought iron or cheating heart(BM) or just not keeping shutters?. Later down the line we were going to add a wood/aluminum pavilion like from yardistry in the backyard.

Back to the siding-

The front of the house has a yellow ish board and batten. My husband thinks vinyl white board and batten but I think it will look too much like a farmhouse(did I mention that’s not the look I want to go for?). I was thinking of adding LP siding that looks a lot like wood but without the maintenance to the front park of the house above the garage.

For the back of the house we were considering white vinyl that was either horizontal or vertical. Pictures below. I’m really stuck on what we should look for or direction to go in. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
