Who knows! Depends on where you are, price point, and more. If this is for your own kitchen, why not search the photos on this site and see what appeals to you?

Yeah, who knows, and more importantly who cares? Countertops should reflect your personal taste, not what's trending

I'm hearing it's swinging to taupe.

What are your FLOORS!?!?!? That is the most important relationship. If you have wood floors then you have flexibility if you have tile then that will drive the decision.

If you wouldn’t mind, as mentioned we need way more information.

If you could, post a photo (from a distance) of your white kitchen. Please show the flooring in the photo. Also point out any other finishes, like wall color, trim color, or backsplash tile, etc, that must stay.

Hopefully then we can start to suggest countertop options.

White cabinets are great since they have the flexibility to have many different colors and materials to use for the countertops. There’s a ton of natural stones, wood, and manmade like quartz or laminate.

So, mentioning white cabinets is not specific enough. It all depends on the exact color ”white” of your cabinets. Is it a warm white? Or is it a cool white?

Do you happen to know the exact brand name and color of your cabinets and/or the brand and color of paint that your cabinets are painted? There are so many whites!

Yes, it really is impossible to give you a suggestion for countertops without more specific info and pictures.

This is a new build, no pics. Floors will be an engineered wood, gray\beige tone. picked out a granite with grey/beige marbleing. Looked good in the showroom, but after looking at pics on Houzz feels a bit dated,

Gray is deader than a doornail, so chuck all those samples into the trash. Floors should look like an actual tree produced them, not a plastic factory.

I do not agree about gray but we need to see the choices in pics posted here. DO NOT start another post. I will never go to beige tones I happen to love cool colors and they work best with grays. As for trends unless you have the $$$$ to change all the time forget trends. IMO granite is the best choice for counters Stop looking at pics and start thinking about what you like in your home period.
