Title: Seeking Design Advice for Open Concept Kitchen Redesign - Should I Remove Both Walls?

Hi fellow Houzz community members,

I'm reaching out for some expert advice on a kitchen redesign project. I want to transform my kitchen into a spacious, open concept area that's perfect for both cooking and entertaining. I've attached several pictures of my current setup and included measurements and the layout .

Goals:

1. Open Concept: I want to create a seamless flow between the kitchen, living room, and possibly dining area. I want to remove the wall that separates the kitchen from living room , but I'm also considering whether it would be wise to remove the wall that separates the dining room and kitchen as well. I'm looking for advice on whether removing both walls would be a good idea, or if keeping one might have some benefits.

2. Entertainment Space: I often host gatherings and get-togethers, so having ample space for entertaining is crucial. I'd love suggestions on how to maximize the available space for guests while ensuring a functional kitchen layout.

3. Kitchen Seating: Another key aspect is adding as much kitchen seating as possible. I'm open to suggestions on how to integrate seating without compromising on the overall design.

**Pictures of the Current Setup and measurements are attached. The large furniture in the living room is gone and there’s hardwood throughout now.
