ugh sorry, i know ive been a posting machine. I started new threads when the old ones went a couple days with no replies. The good news is that i think ive settled on one, so i wont be clogging the boards anymore! Pros in our area are booked out for months and i’m relatively desperate to get this done.

My wall is 107” long and of course the 72” blue cabinet is sold out everywhere. i think 80” is too big, but will the 65” look too small? the one i currently have in the non-doctored photos is 66” and already looks small.

I personally don’t think 65” would look too small in theory (I think your 66” looks fine), but it really is impossible to say for sure without being there in person … seeing the entire room from all sides, getting a sense of scale.

I think you should have an idea what will go above it too so it’s balanced with console size.

I like the last one! The others don't have much of anything over what you've got there already, and a few of them with with their "weathered" finishes look like cheap imports (but your pics are very small).

The last one has a bit of daring and pizzaz but it fits nicely with the rug. It seems an inspired choice. And the art work is quite pretty and is more personal than the mirror.

If the measurements and size work for you, that's my vote.

PS: It has taken me more than a year to settle on my own home entry. It's not only because it is the first thing people see, but also because my entry "view" includes the living room, media room, hallway and the stairs leading up. I finally got the last piece in place yesterday, 15 months after moving in, and my husband didn't move out despite being asked 150 times to sign off on a previous idea!

Agree the sizing looks good - I don't love the faux aged versions but that's just a personal preference

I dont love faux aging either generally, but thought it could fit in well in this case with color scheme in adjoining living room. I’d paint the lighter open one.

The design/mirrored doors on the last one is ok with the railing? And ive been working on my foyer for over 2 yrs haha.

I also like this one a lot, tho not sure if wood shade is too cool with the warmer shades in my floor and LR.

I don't mind the latest brown one, but just to be clear, when I said "the last one" I meant the coastal blue, partly because I liked it best with the rug you have. If you are getting a new rug, well -- START A NEW POST!!!

Do what Flo says. Find the rug first. It's the hardest thing to find. Then the cabinet(s).

While we have posting police, we need grey patrol, too. Grey is no longer the thing. Get yourself some color. Green is the new color, it's hard to work with and get right, but it's really pretty. Paint is your friend. I would paint most of those consoles. Honestly, they're pretty boring.

I love green too. i used to have a green console there (it was more teal), but i never could find a rug to complement it!

the martin console actually comes in green…

I don't like green, which is neither here nor there, but I hope inventing a 'green patrol" doesn't become necessary in a few years because green became "the new color." Marketing is so silly when it invades peoples' homes.

Did you search for rugs using terms like "green craftsman area rugs" -- ? Green is an essential color in craftsman style.
