The first is Leycesteria formosa, aka Himalayan honeysuckle.

Yellow spherical thingy is a craspedia and I did think the pinnate leafed blue plant was gentian asclepiadea but the flowers don't look right. The last looks like melianthus majus. I am usually rubbish at this...even plants I have or am growing myself. I always blame my crap monitor and dodgy eyes cos I am much better at this lark IRL.

I thought craspedia for #4 as well. That's all I got, lol!

Craspedia looks way cool. Do you guys have experience growing them from seed (as I have never seen them as tender, already established plants at a nursery).

rouge I grew them from seed decades ago. I do not recall them being at all difficult but that is about all I recall lol!

I grew craspedia from seed as well, many moons ago. I recall that they were easy and grew well; I didn't grow them again because they bloomed way too early for me (they were for bouquets to sell at market, which didn't open till mid-June). Maybe I should have tried them again if they are blooming now lol.

Thanks @floraluk2. I saw Melianthus major several times while I was in Victoria. Its always nice to see interesting plants that I don't usually see at home.

Melianthus is pretty magical when it blooms. Bright red flower spikes that contrast beautifully with the silvery gray foliage. And the resident hummingbirds love it!

Grew it in one of my sunnier gardens :-)
