We have ceramic tile to replace in our foyer, hallways, and back entry. Trying to decide if we should use ceramic again or Armstrong's Alterna. How thick should the subfloor be for tile (may be the reason the tile failed) and what it the best underlayment for tile? Currently there is Durock board.
