I don’t think it would be weird at all — lots of people have stained wood that matches throughout their homes. And not everyone will be using your powder room, so may not even see the vanity.

Not weird, but would a slightly different shade work better in either location, based on lighting and what it is pared up with, ie: wall color, flooring, vanity’s counter).

I agree that it’s not weird at all. The bathroom is another room and has a door. If you wanted to further differentiate the pieces, you could do it with your choices in hardware, accessories, etc. For example, maybe gold hardware in entry and silver hardware in bathroom, or a mix in bathroom -

You can in general mix and match.
