Some gas cooktops are sold ready to use with liquid propane. However, most manufacturers sell their gas cooktops configured for natural gas but convertible to liquid propane. For example, this CR-recommended LG CBGJ3023S cooktop is convertible as described on page 13 of the installation guide.

We bought a Blue Star range that was built for liquid propane. However, we are not completely finished with our house build and it’ll be a couple more days until they hook up the propane, so I haven’t been able to fire it up just yet.

I bought a Bertazoni Range Top. Most brands loose BTUs when they are changed to LP but Berts do not. I've had it for 7 years and still like it.

As long as the range / cooktop is set up to be used on propane, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between propane and natural gas if you didn't know.

My personal range runs on a ~11 kg propane bottle, with 4 gas burners going at times, no problem. Many of our clients also have ranges running on propane, both small and large.
