Maybe. But you would have to switch the hood above to a 42” one and rework the uppers. And likely upgrade the electrical.

The Beko BCTI36510 and nearly identical BlombergCTI36510 would appear to have the greatest chance of fitting because their cutout widths are only 31-7/8".

The KitchenAid KCIG550JBL and similar KitchenAid KCIG550JSS do manage to squeeze five induction elements -- most have four -- into 30" cooktops.

The induction part is pretty deep and straigt down from the edge - our 36" induction is B.A.R.E.L.Y fitting under our base cab and we still may need to shave the sides of the cabinet.

I'd say it's a hard no for a 36" induction in a 33" cabinet.

It depends upon the makeup of the adjacent cabinets and the configuration of the uppers.

Cutout widths of 36" induction cooktops range from 31-7/8" to 35-5/16".* I don't know how you would reach that conclusion.

I want to expand on the point that @Lomo and @Joseph Corlett, LLC raised. The OP has said the cabinets are already ordered. The OP did not say anything about the upper cabinets. If there were upper cabinets ordered that were sized to allow for a 30" exhaust hood over a 30" cooktop, the OP will not be able to install a 36" cooktop, regardless of the cutout size of the 36" cooktop. That is, without reconfiguring the upper cabinets as well to allow for a wider hood over the wider cooktop. Or, perhaps there are no upper cabinets, or perhaps the upper cabinets allow for a 36" hood--we don't know.

@Beverly Hulick needs to return to this thread to say what her upper cabinet order was. Often one-time posters like @Beverly Hulick do not return, but we can hope.

wdccruise - fair enough - my current experience was a hard no. Spec seets would need to be reviewed. Induction that goes to the edge would likely require a deeper / larger cutout than one that may only have 4 burner areas.

So yes - some may fit. So - check the specs and measure your cabinets and also measure at the top - not just midway down - often clearances are tighter at the top than the empty space in the middle.
