If you have 20K laying around you could switch them out to a square column, but they definitely need to be there with that roof overhang. What is your definition of update? I would change the soffit of the roof overhand as from here it is obviously failing. Change the horizontal vinyl for new and use the same siding on the raised foundation portion. Maybe paint the doors and sidelites a brighter color?

Will need to save up for the square columns but love that idea and your other suggestions. Thanks!

I think I would explore building a "box" around each column. I just googled "boxing out rounds posts." There's a lot of videos and articles to look at.
