How to delete my comments?

I was looking through some posts from a month or so ago and when I saw a comment I made I thought, "WTH was I thinking?!" I wanted to delete it but couldn't see a way to do so. Looks like my newer comments can be deleted. Does that mean once they've been up for a certain period of time they can't be edited or deleted by the author?

Yes. You can only delete or edit for a certain period of time. You could post a follow up, I suppose, to put the record straight. Or just leave it and let it sink into the mists of time. How many people will read old posts?

A LOT of people read old posts. I average 5-10 notifications daily that someone has 'liked' one of my old, often VERY old, posts. It's common to get notifications about posts I submitted between 2003-2010. If the post in question contains an error or misinformation, the right thing to do, from my perspective, is to do what you can to correct the error regardless of when the post was contributed.
