Design Dilemma Exterior

We are consideding adding a portico and wood door. We are changing siding to a medium gray and adding new black shutters. I am trying to visualize all of this together. Any and all opinions welcome!! (Landscaping will follow after. I know that needs alot of work.) Thanks!

I hope the new shutters will be operable and correctly sized. That alone will make a huge difference.

Try looking at the Richmond house from a few years back on Young House Love. They took a traditional Colonial and added a front porch.
