Stolen Heart and Watermelon Summer are favorites today. I was wondering if any of your daylilies that refused to bloom earlier put up any late scapes. Unfortunately None of mine did.

What beautiful blooms for rebloomers! Stolen Heart continues to impress with that gorgeous color. Watermelon Summer is so pretty. I am glad you are getting some energy back allowing you to get back in the garden.

Those certainly are nice ones to have so late in the season. I just got finished moving a few of my more tender succulents into the garage as a cold (cool) front is headed our way tonight. Down in the 40's overnight. Temperatures moderating upwards next week, but fall is finally beginning here.............Maryl

They are beautiful,, Debra. Rainbow Maker has a lovely intense color, and they all look good even if an edge is not quite what it is in warmer weather. I suspect the cooler weather will stop more from reblooming here, but there are still several of them blooming and Viola Francois looks almost ready to begin. It will warm up a bit here later in the week. The weather is wonderful for working in the yard though.

Thanks Kay! Rainbow Maker does have more intense colors when the temps are cool. Its form isn't quite a nice as when it's warmer. This morning, at 46 degrees, none of my rebloomers could open. Maybe they will by afternoon.

Debra, the only one of my rebloomers that opened today is Made in Virginia. And I think we have two more very cool mornings on the way. I can't complain because this is the first October I can remember rebloomers being so plentiful amd maybe at all.

Kay - Watermelon Summer, Stolen Heart and Jewel of Tavares were all open by noon. I also saw I have rebloom coming on Applique. Sometimes I've had instant rebloom on that one, but it's never rebloomed in the fall before.

Rainbow Maker has a cute form, but bud count is low, as you have noted before. Perhaps in a less dry year, it would rebloom here.

Mantis - Rainbow Maker had low bud counts when I grew it in a pot, but in more recent years in the ground it's gotten bud counts in the high teens and twenties.

Rsinbow Maker has gotten bud counts in the 20s here too, had several fans rebloom earlier, and 1 fan is finishing rebloom in another day or so.
