daylily deprivation pt. 3

Here are the next group of ones we enjoyed this season.

I like the shape and the coloring of King Crab.

Pink Viper was planted in 2022. It has nice tall strong scapes with luscious pink flowers and some teeth.

I love the coloring on Princess Sonja. I am not sure it will increase quickly though.

We picked Red Lobster up for $10 at Jamie Gossards place a few years ago. It is southern bred so we were afraid it might be tender. So far it has been fine. It is the crush zone though, so we'll see how it fares next spring.

Rosie with a Ring is becoming a good breeder for us. When crossed with Cherry Pie a la Mode, it is giving bigger eyes, more edge and richer eye color.

Rosy Spiketail has been here for many years, but it never seemed to do much for us. This year it was much nicer.

This is a tall tetraploid seedling we bought from Sandy Holmes. We do not know the parentage, but we like the flower. It too was crushed. I hope it is ok as it can't be replaced.

I think Snarl's color is rather harsh, but I like the shape of the eye and the amount of color on the sepals. It is rather short though.

Spacecoast Nails and Lipstick was planted in 2022 and did very well this year. It also set some seed for us.

One more group to go.
