I would place the bed on the outside wall, the dresser on the bathroom wall this bedding is fun and traditional, would look nice with your set without being too stuffy.

Why the new bedroom SET?

Return it, if you can. You don't need a "set". You certainly don't need the bulk/toe stubbing clunk of the bed in particular and all that furniture in what is barely a 13 x 14 bedroom!

Have you already chosen a wall color for the bedroom? If not, what colors do you love?

Will anything else you already have be going in the room, and if so, what?

Is there an attached bathroom? If so, what style is it?

What kind of flooring?

Hi! I only bought the bed frame. We are liking maybe greens or blues it will be carpet when we get the house but we are going to rip that up and put in grey flooring to match the rest of the house. There is not an attached bedroom

What I mean by fun and mature is I want to dabble in colors and patterns but I don’t want it to look like a child’s room

Probably the first thing to rip is "gray flooring".......

That fad has thankfully faded far away.

I’d just start looking up lots of inspiration pictures to get ideas, and wait until you’re moved in to see how you want to proceed. Being in the room — seeing how the lighting is at all times, getting an idea of scale once the bed is in there, etc — will give a feel for if you want to paint the walls, have curtains, and other decor decisions.

You can definitely warm up gray elements.

Do you feel this is a better bed? Or is it still to bulky?

It’s really hard to say without being in the room. I have a four poster bed in my bedroom, but the room is bigger than yours, and I have a bulky panel bed (headboard and footboard) in my guest room, which is smaller than your room. I find neither are difficult to get around at all, but again, I just can’t say in your situation.

You really DON'T need to figure any of this out yet!

Are you sleeping on a floor now? You have a bed frame , a mattress? You like blue and green

Buy a simple wood platform.....buy a blue or green inexpensive upholstered headboard! Push a platform up to that headboard!

Or simply move in with what you have.

A new home is a beginning, an opportunity to make it a home you can love for a long time.

You spend as you can and in ways that make some long term sense. You DON'T paint yourself into corners, add to a gray floor with more gray floor, that no amount of decorating over the next five years will ever make better.

It's a journey, yes a destination....but emphasize journey: )
