We have three strip maple engineered hardwood. The planks are almost 2.5” wide. They don’t make this kind of hardwood anymore; I’ve searched high and low. Kahrs makes a three strip but it is twice as much as single planks & it doesn’t match exactly either. We will be sanding our existing hardwood but replacing the carpet— hopefully with maple hardwood. There is one step down to that level. I am seeking advice and opinions on running the new hardwood (on the other floor) the opposite direction, and using the 3” planks (as seen in screenshot). Any advice and opinions greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
