• Bosch SHP65CM5N 500 Series Top Control 24-in Dishwasher earned a recommended rating from CR and also comes in black. Door pops open after washing to help with drying.
• Bosch SHX78CM5N 800 Series Top Control 24-in Dishwasher earned also earned a recommended rating, dried slightly better, and also comes in black but costs $220 more than the Bosch 500.

IMO all appliance matching just looks better and not like you couldn't afford the stainless one and the blacks will never match anyway

I would do stainless if only because black DW generally show everything. We wipe up things all the time but the black DW that came with the house always looked smeared. I am actually doing a paneled one in the kitchen remodel.

Yeah, I would think black would be harder to keep clean. I used to have a black dishwasher (smooth metal, no texture). It always had spots, but was not in a line of sight and I didn’t stay on it and I had dogs that sneezed. (My fridge and oven were black glass - not stainless - and they were easier to clean than the metal.)

I have a black stainless steel Samsung dishwasher, and it is a gorgeous color and there are no spots on it nor is it hard to keep clean. The black stainless steel would look great with your black cabinets.

I have black lower cabinetry and opted for a black dishwasher (and fridge), love how they don’t visually break up the flow, which was especially important given the size of my kitchen. Have a stainless stove because I liked its features vs worrying about matching.

I have off white cabinets with glossy black appliances. I like the appliances to match in color. The frig is Whirpool., the dishwasher is Whirlpool, the stove and over the range microwave are GE. They are all glossy black. That is the color I like and I prefer all the appliances to match in color, even if not the same brand.
