Is there a reason you can't put the big art over the longer side of the sectional?

Because I am a big fan of end tables and table lamps, my vision for the wall you're showing would be something like this:

Sorry for straying off topic on the rug; the one you have seems too small for the room, and I liked this one. It adds a little warmth, which I also tried to do in my choice of virtual artwork.

Art and collections can be displayed in many ways and many of those choices are very personal, so listen to what other people suggest, but do what looks best to you and in your own space. There are no absolute rules for this!

You aren't striving for perfect symmetry, but your goal should be a pleasing balance when you see the whole space.

Also art/decor collections aren't bought at once, they are collected over time and hopefully have some meaning to those that live in the house.

I would move furniture legs on rug and create finished look with coffee table, wall art, drapes... I like oversized wall art.

Or better with side table with lamps on a sides of sectional.
