Looking for layout help in my awkward kitchen

This is the current layout for my kitchen addition. The space is awkward and feels like two separate spaces. The room to the left is a scullery/pantry. My main concern is the spacing of appliances. The kitchen is 22 feet long which means roughly 18 feet between the sink and the refrigerator. But if I move the fridge closer everything feels jammed in too close and there is a strangely long span of empty counter space where the fridge used to be. Does anyone have a large kitchen and could let me know if having appliances too far apart is an issue? I'm also open to any improved layout ideas. Thanks!

what is the gray ?bench? or table with two stools in lower right. What is the diagonal white line between kitchen and dining area?...wall to come out or ? please explain. where are the current exterior walls? what exactly is the New part? best to show the whole first floor right now .... and what the goals are.

    Is this addition already built?

What is the addition part? Not in love with the gray seating spot, that could better be used as a pantry.

Can you label this or do you have actual drawings to post? I don't get having two islands with stools. I don't understand what the blue thing with circles is. Hard to comment without understanding the whole.

18’ seems like it would get old very quick. not to mention having to walk past stove and walkway through kitchen. right now it looks rather like 3 kitchens to me. what is plan for scullery? why so many stools (dining area looks crowded). agree it would help to see rest of house and what is new. i’m sure there is a way to make a happy and functional kitchen with better use of space.

I’m not a designer or kitchen designer, but wondering why you have seating on the peninsula and island. I would probably opt to move the stove to the area near the sink, and then move the fridge to the area where the stove is now.

That is *way* too much walking, and yes, that's bad design and not fun to work in -- imagine shlepping a big pot of pasta the length of the kitchen to dump the water in the sink!! Perhaps you can put a lot of storage together in one part of the kitchen, and have all the "working zones" (sink, prep counter, and stove) closer together, with the fridge the closest part of the storage zone.

But I am also mystefied by many of the things mentioned by others -- do I see three seating areas in close proximity? Is this a kosher kitchen, or why so much stuff in the little annex space? Are you working with a kitchen designer at all, or did you lay this out yourself? It must be possible to do better than this!
