That is not a good light for a closet. You need something that will throw light in all directions. I think you should be more concerned with function than looks when it comes to closet lighting. I have a long LED light wired into my closet that comes off and on when you open the door. There is a switch on it to change from 2700 to 3000K. Fantastic.

In a 8’x12’ closet I replaced a long LED tube light mounted over the door for a round flush mount LED fixture in the closet center for better light. Mine is from Restoration Hardware and a bit larger, but it is similar to this one from Rejuvenation:

Unless your closet is a showroom, buy the least expensive flush light you can find. I don't think this is a place where you need to spend money. Save your money for light fixtures in public areas. I never notice mine except that if it weren't there the closet would be dark. :-)

I like a track lighting in a walk in closet to angle lighting where I need it and for sure LED 4000K since 2000K is like turning everything you own yellow 4000K mimics daylight and for sure that IMO is the light you need to choose an outfit.

bpmba-- WOW THOSE ARE GORGEOUS! Im wary of the fixtures that have the thin LED strips integrated like this one-- surprised it gives off enough light! Also doesn't the angular frame cast shadows..?

The wattage and lumens are significant. Two of them in a 10x13 closet provide plenty of light. There are some shadows, but we have geometric wallpaper on the ceiling so they kind-of blend in. I think eventually the LED strips will die, but 50,000 hours of light time is longer than I'll be alive. :)

Also i noticed that my porch lights are essentially the same as the industrial-ish seeded glass ones i was thinking of. So now looking for something more glam like yours. I want my closet to make me smile even though I’m not Mariah Carey.
