Are you the first here with the white stuff? I hope never to be first in that category although northwest Oklahoma got some yesterday. As much as I dislike snow, I hate ICE even more (which is what we get more frequently then snow)........... Does it get bad enough Sherry that you all need to put on snow tires over winter?...............Maryl

No snow tires needed here. Illinois takes great care of the highways. Rural areas everywhere can be a problem at times no matter where you are up north.

Oh yes, it has an initial picturesque appeal, but my reaction to snow is "Okay, that's enough snow for the season; next winter is soon enough to see it again." Unfortunately, last year we had virtually no snow, and that was fine with me; but later I discovered that Mother Nature's twisted weather would have long-term negative effects for plants that followed in spring and summer.
