Help!! Can I save this plant from its pending demise?

I was out of town and the tip of this keiki adenium fell over due to lack of water. i cut it with a sterile blade and immediately put cinnamon on the cut. It’s been about 3 days and ”stalk” is beginning to shrivel. What steps should I take to save this plant? thank you to anyone who will guide me!

let it be and observe ... it should be fine. if it bothers you, you could cut it lower and apply cinnamon again.

Thank you. I’ll observe it and be back if the wilt continues down the stem. Fingers crossed that it will be ok.

Yes I would prune it down a few nodes and apply cinnamon. It should sprout new shoots within about a month from just below the cut. Use a very sharp razor blade or pruner.

@bragu_DSM 5 I just now saw your comment. Thanks for asking. I ended up cutting it back. Twice. Not too much growth, though. I’m focusing on caudex training.
