Quite the transformation!

I like the color and grasscloth. Consider painting the wall trim the same color as the wall paint.

Consider removing the chairs on either side of the china cabinet. A tree or large plant would look great in the left corner by the window.

Are you planning to add a rug?

The dining chair seats can be easily recovered with fabric and a staple gun. Perhaps a darker shade of the wall color or charcoal black in a performance velvet. Or a contrasting color like apple green, terracotta or saffron.

What would it look like if you used the occasional chairs in place of the dining arm chairs?

tozmo1, I use those chairs when I need to add the leaf to accommodate 8 people. They do look fine at the head of the table but then the arm chairs would go on each side of the china cabinet. It looks to brown and heavy so that's why I keep them at the table. Thank you for your suggestion.
