Granite install problems

last modified: 2 years ago

We had granite installed in our new construction today. The seams look awful. They are a rough cut, have lippage and the fill is too light. There is a large seam at the center of a 12' island that runs 5' and is right under a light.

The other issue is when they installed the granite, they knocked the support leg out of plumb and then shimmed it 1/4" too high, so it's way out of level and it's sagging next to this corner.

Everything else they did was good.

So, the draw is tomorrow. Do we pay 50% and hold the remainder until the seam and leveling is fixed or what is the best way to handle? Any other tips?
