Need design advice - deck flooring

Looking for some budget friendly design tips in how to resurface the flooring on our elevated deck. The house is painted black, front door is sage green, so this sand color flooring just looks like dirt and super washed out next to the new house color (it was previously a similar brown to the floor). i can't tell what the material of the floor is, maybe just a concrete sealant? we really wanted to lay Ikea's runnen decking over it to make the space look more polished but given we are working with over 460 sq ft, it's going to be out of our budget to do so. We want to redo the space entirely so everything pictured will be recycled, we are inspired by Japanese landscaping, leaning into natural textures and simple materials.

Any design tips on what to do with the floor? Should we paint it? If so, what color and paint is best? We're in SoCal so summers get hot! Dont want any material or color to add to the heat.

Thanks!
