Moody office design ideas

Hi,

I am planning to turn this space into home office. I want to go for a moody space and want to be able to incorporate this silk rug from Bahrain into the design.
This room is NE facing and has one recessed light up top on addition to the window you see.
My confusion- I want it to feel moody without making it feel masculine. Any ideas on pain color or wall treatment.

I made a 3D rendering of a design that will look amazing in your room. I would paint the room a dark shade of green to set the moody tone. Add a camel leather chair, and a beautiful marble and wood desk. The marble will make the space look less masculine. Add some black and white wall art of your choice but I thought maps would look nice. For the curtains just go with some simple beige ones. This design

will all look gorgeous with your existing rug. Keep it simple and cozy since the room is not that large

I like where EastCoast is headed. The room looks pretty narrow so you may want to consider some art with depth of field on the wall. These are just for inspiration, not sure if they're for sale. It also depends on your style.

Eastcoast Design- do you recommend painting ceiling too like your second reference picture. I have sloped ceiling in this room

So you will need to consider how to plug in the computer and lamp, and how to hide the cords.

Love the dark paint colors! You could pull one from the rug. A beautiful (feminine) chandelier and plant would keep the room from going too masculine. I adore wall paper, but matching one to the rug would be tricky. Replace the blind with a roman shade, perhaps. It is a lovely room. So many possibilities. Have fun!
