Yes, I grew one in southern California in zone 10a many years ago. It was in an east facing spot against a wall where it did very well. The color was like the beautiful photos from Dee Choi in Honolulu and from Beth's Northern California Rose Garden on Help Me Find.

Gosh! This is an incredibly beautiful rose! I wonder if anyone is currently growing it and how it does outside of nice dry California. Smiley face

I remember seeing it many years ago and think the color is fantastic. I wish more effort was put into developing copper toned roses , I find them much more interesting than the beige coloring that is the current trend.

When my new La Tosca died over the summer I ordered a second band. I knew right out of the box it wasn't La Tosca--too many thorns. Checking their catalog, I saw that the HTs on either side of La Tosca were La France and Lady Elgin. The first bud is showing color, but doesn't look like La France. MAYBE Lady Elgin. We've been having roller coaster weather, so this first bloom might be atypical. Will have to wait and see what this turns out to be.

Update. It's La France after all.
