Need entryway help

I can’t decide what type of entry furniture to place here. I definitely need something to hold my dog leashes, at least 2-3 pairs of go-to shoes, and a place to set my keys.

I plan on putting up a couple of coat hooks and a mirror regardless.

At first I was thinking a shoe storage cabinet with a top drawer or console table with an open bottom to keep a storage stool that will hold the dog leashes and bonus I can have seat to hook up my dogs and put on my shoes.

But then I started looking at entry way ideas and the whole bench with a basket thing is cute, but then where I would put my keys? Install a separate hook? Or maybe a console table with a shelf at the bottom and I could put a little basket….?

I had my old writers/console desk (44 in. length, 16 in. deep, 30 in. height) in place for a month but was too bulky for the space. I think the ideal depth would be no more 13 inches.

Hang a large piece of art on the wall. The space is too tight for any furniture. Luckily you do have a coat closet right by the door. Rip out the single rod and add some shelving to tailor it to your needs.

How about treating out what looks like two closets and creating an open mud room?

The one closet door along the wall is the laundry closet, the farthestc closet door side is HVAC. The closet door next to the front door is an actual closet, however it’s currently being used as my storage for my sewing, yarn, holiday decorations, etc… finding a place for that would be a whole other discussion. My apartment is only about 700sqft.

A small shallow table on that closet wall closest to the kitchen might work. Like a hall tree.

Could you use some under-the-bed storage bins for any of the yarn, etc that is in the front closet?

There used to be a product called Mudwall that created a lot of storage with very little depth. I just looked for it and did not see it online so maybe it does not exist anymore. However, lots of interesting pictures did come up under that term. Maybe that would be a good place to start.
