Agree that photos will help - I love a lot of the new loop styles (esp from Masland) but have a large dog and i am afraid his claws would snag them, do you have dogs or kids?

There are reasons we usually suggest to choose paint (millions of choices) last, after other permanent selections (dozens of carpets or wood options, say).

However, if you're going with a green room, the answer will depend a bit on your decor -- if it tends cool, then probably a gray carpet will work best. If it tends warm, then probably some tan. You could hedge with one of the carpets that has threads of many shades...

Of course, you could do another color as well -- blue or mauve or whatever. Nobody knows what you're aiming for!

We really cannot help without context . Wall color IMO the last thing to choose . Post the pics of all the things you have already chosen there is no other way to get help. I do not like wall to wall carpet anywhere and for sure not in spaces that could get water damge easily but I need info. Post her ein a comment DO NOT start another post

Thank you. The room was a rush for guests at Christmas. Alas, no time to get a rug/carpet in in time.

These photos might not show well enough, but here you go. Nothing on the walls yet except for 3 access covers, baseboards not yet up either. Bottom photo has two rug samples, the one on the right is True Melody Steambath, the one on the left is another that I don't recall the name of, but is creamier with a little bit of brown running through it. The floor is concrete.
