The outlet for TV that shows would be an annoyance to me. I’d move TV up to cover it or buy a larger TV. Your color block idea is interesting but I’d need a mock up to test before doing that. Looks like you have MCM or Danish style pieces. I wondered about hanging a piece of metal art on that taller wall in stairwell - above & to left of TV. Seems like that would be seen from the seating in front of TV. Something the same color as ceilng fan in seating area & that cool hanging light in entry area.

Here is my wall with the white trim painted out and larger accessories on the table. The trim color looks different from the wall - maybe because it is still wet. But the TV still looks very big and black - what should I do next?

The white trim looks good there. It matches the rest of your room. I would not change it to wall color. I do like the idea of metal art on that wall. The tv, should have been up a couple inches, to cover the outlet, that bothers me a bit. I dont like seeing the outlet there. Other than that, it looks very good, and there isnt much you can do about a big black tv, because, thats what tv;'s are. We all have them, and we all use them, and for the most part, most of us, dont hide them.

I just painted my breakfast nook Behr's Rainforest, you can see it at the far left of this picture. Should I paint the tv and entry wall the same dark green to help hide the tv?

No. painting different walls different colors creates an unfinished DIY look.
