Who is "we" ?

What do you mean? My husband and I, we have a two year old. Working a draftsman and he is waiting our decision on which wall to put our fireplace on.

If you’re wanting a vote, I’d pick #2. I love that.

Let the site and the spatial relationships determine the location of the fireplace. The 'site and the spatial relationships' is the dog, and the "fireplace" is the tail; do not let the tail wag the dog.

It would be helpful to see your plan, and to know something about your building site.

Consider TV and furniture placement, views and a bunch of other things that you might not think about, and your drafter will not ask about.

Listen to what the architects are saying. No one can answer that for you in a vacuum.

The inspiration photos show spaces where the window wall is a passageway, which would factor in to whether you want the fireplace (or tv, if it is going above the fireplace) there there.

IS the tv going above the fireplace? If so, do you want it to?

Also how your chimney configures with your exterior?

I like option 2 as well! Beautiful!

I vote for neither option if it means the TV has to be over the fireplace.

Reconfigure the room to avoid this.
