Thank you for taking the time to provide your suggestion. I appreciate the idea of adding a canvas in the middle of the headboard. I will considering to purchase two larger canvases to cover the shutter and create the illusion of two separate art wall decor pieces. This will balance the wall above the headboard.

Like these photos illustrate, painting the walls white walls to match your window blinds would visually calm the room. Since it is a narrow room with high ceilings, I’d consider the paint treatment in the third photo, using low contrast in a calm color.

How about adding another shutter or a shelf that mimics it to the other side of the bed, with artwork in between?

You could hang a wall of drapes behind the bed, covering the window. You could hang art if desired in front of the drapes.

You could look at getting a piece of artwork in a similar size to the window and hang it on the other side. Then you could look at window treatments for the other set of windows, a rug, some lamps on both night stands, and perhaps a chandelier. Here are some bedroom designs that might help more.
