Pinani Island Surf has been a tough one for me, but it's still hanging in there after several years.

I think I bought this one without a tag thinking it may be Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Well, I suppose it is now Pineapple Juice and I love it. Some years I still get the green margin on a few leaves.

Piecrust Promise - love the subtle variegation, ruffled edge, smooth center and dimpled margin.

Oh, and its upright, vase shape - if the leaves weren't big and floppy you would notice that more.

Paula, I also had my computer crash one day last year. Sent it to HP for fixing. Got it back with a new problem! It took a ton of calls to them, being passed from one person to another, along with my blood pressure rising to get them to finally take the computer back. One of the most frustrating experiences of my life! So I hope you don't have my experience and can get your computer fixed in a decent amount of time.

Here are some of my P hosta:

New for me this year. Pandora's Box. Photo taken in August. I got it at a decent price so thought I would give it a try. It sure is a pretty hosta. My plan is to plant it in the garden this season---just need to find a space!

Paradise Island. I struggled with this one, but now it is finally looking good.

Pocketful of Sunshine. Growing slow but steady. I find it tends to get fungal issues when it gets hot and humid. I always mean to spray for that, but then I forget.

Prairie Moon has been stuck in a spin out bag for I don't know how long. I think it would be much happier removed from that bag. I'll put that down on the to-do list (that is getting very long!)

Laurie, throughout the whole alphabet, you have so many big, mature hostas that are so impressive! Your Praying Hands is the fullest I’ve seen.

Pewterware in its new home. This survived being potted up and overwintered when so many others did not. I spread out the pieces so next season it should fill out nicely.

I have a Praying Hands, but didn’t get a good photo of it. I also had Pocket Full of Sunshine, but it got nematodes so was tossed.

old dirt, Paradigm does well for me throughout the season here is a picture from 2020 in October, there are alot of uglies around but Paradigm is going strong.

Old_dirt, I find Paradigm to be a good, strong grower. I have not experienced the uglies with it. Not sure why you would. Maybe it's time to move yours to see if a different location would make a difference?

nhl, you sure do get some nice, big hostas to start out with. Your Pandora’s Box is already the size a lot of people would hope for theirs to get to. And another one that stood out to me was your Blue Hawaii. I thought, wow, that’s what you’re starting with? Very nice! I wish I could find hostas that big to start out with.

Sandyslopes, I just got lucky getting the size I did of Pandora's Box. Had it been half the size, I don't know if I would have gotten it as I know it is a challenging one to grow. But it is definitely worth a try because it is a cutie!

As for Blue Hawaii, I happened to meet another hosta enthusiast who was selling some of their hosta divisions. That's how I got a decent sized Blue Hawaii for a decent price.
