Nice and simple. And looking right at stairs is not so unusual. Do you have some artwork or soemthing that might be viewed at the top of the stairs?

It isn’t? I hate walking a foot into our house and running into my steps. Good to know it’s not so uncommon.

That was my other question as to what could possibly look good up at the top of the steps actually! Would a mirror look weird?

You may want to add a cute lamp instead of the lantern as you have an outlet. Always fun to change little things up.

Looks like the table matches the handrail and your dining table, so it seems to work fine. I would like the table with just the vase and without the lantern, tho. Either just the vase or maybe a low tray or something if you need a place to drop keys. Maybe an entry rug or runner?

No to a mirror at the top of the stairs. Yes to some art.
