window treatment ideas?!

I just painted my house using Swiss coffee and love it! I am trying to figure out what type of window treatments I should use for both my small windows and my sliding glass door. I am also on a budget. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I like this look for your room, and they’ve gotten good reviews on Amazon.

What purpose will the need to serve?..privacy?…sun block?..it is also helpful to see these windows in daylight to see what the views are..

The purpose is mainly privacy. There is not much sunlight that comes in that needs to be blocked. It’s pretty dark during the day because there’s no direct sunlight and there’s trees behind that block any of the sun.

So where does the need for privacy come from?..are there people walking by?…neighbors who can see in?..is it needed mostly at night.?….this seems like a highly “specific” need….on site service by a pro may be best …too many unknowns..no easy fix comes to mind..especially without a day time pic…

Do you have any aversion to pattern or color?that appears to be lacking in your choices so far…a picture from as far back as possible would be helpful

The furnishings seem in conflict with the architecture as well..the right curtain choice could possibly bridge that gap

This is what it looks like right now. I live in a townhouse development and there are townhomes on the other side. So yes, it’s more for privacy so they can’t see in at night. As far as colors and things like that honestly, I moved in from a new house and just a mishmash of everything. The previous owners left the couch and they were nice in my previous ones so I kept them. There is nothing necessarily that I’m in love with it’s more of a budget issue, trying to find the best curtains to bring it all together easily. Hope that makes sense. When I’m home this weekend I can definitely get a daytime picture.

Well there is definitely a few things in conflict here..the biggest one is the rug..but ….can you sew?..making some blue couch pillow covers….and curtains..with some blue….lightweight fabric…in a nice pattern ….would start to pull together a nice look ….with the art as color inspiration..the curtains could be one panel gathered at the top on a spring rod that fits inside the wood window trim…this will make the furniture color more acceptable…and with better pictures there is probably a better furniture arrangement that could float into the center of the room a little more…and make tv viewing a little better…how much seating ….for how many people who watch tv …is needed?…
