Saija..this is a screenshot of a video that I saw on Facebook..I’ve never heard the term raccoon dog..have you?..

Nicholworth. Yes we have Raccoon dogs (it's different animal than Raccoon). Raccoon dogs don't belong our nature. They have escaped from fur farms. My doughter saw one in our yard, when she was little. She sayd Mom I saw Raccoon. Here in Finland we don't have Raccoons.

Saija..I looked up raccoon dog..I learned they do exist and as you said they aren’t native animals in Finland..I have raccoons..they haven’t bothered our house but 2 of my neighbors had damage from raccoons..in one house they were in the attic and in the other they were in the crawl space..

Paula, I love the police joke! You would not find me in one of those capsules either. I would love to have a progression category.

Ann really interesting about the raccoon dogs. I had never heard of them and I always think if I have not learned something new each day what was the point.

Paula Zounds is a good one. I wish mine had survived being in a pot for too long.

Debra Yankee Blue has such good colour. Zebra Stripes holds colour very well. New growth comes up green later in the season and then stripes. It gives an interesting contrast.

Lisa I hope your YSR rebounds to former glory but I still thing it looks pretty darn good.

My best big yellow - Yosemite Valley - it is lutescent, so this is early spring. (and no pic later)

but here it is later last year next to Ruffles 'n Ridges.

and I planted YPDB (in front) with Hanky Panky to the right so I could compare them, but the light hits them so differently here there's not much to compare.

Much appreciation for this year alphabet, my days are better because of it!

I have spent most time attending to house remodeling so now I will rotate back to gardening and keep reading and looking thru beautiful catalogs of hostas you guys creating.
