What is your budget range ($100, $500, $1000, other?) for the bay window treatments? Are you discarding whatever is there now? Is there a radiator below? Do you need daytime privacy?

Please show all four walls of the room plus any other furniture that you hope to use. Will there be a dining table at the other end of the room? How about a TV?

a large area rug to ground the space, blinds for privacy and or light control, AND drapery panels for texture and interest.

I would place the sofa on either side of the window, not in front of it.

When posting on Houzz, especially when posting about layout, you must show all four walls so commentors can see all sides, windows, doors. You only showed three sides.

The sofa is partially blocking the bay window, the best feature of the room, which no one will then see when the sofa is positioned there.

Layout always precedes styling.
